Welcome to Brainwave 2026 Midnight Blockchain Track, an international blockchain challenge where developers, innovators, students, researchers, designers, and technology enthusiasts come together to build innovative decentralized solutions.

The Midnight Blockchain Track challenges participants to explore the possibilities of blockchain technology and build practical, innovative solutions that address real-world problems. Participants are encouraged to think beyond conventional blockchain applications and experiment with decentralized systems, smart contracts, privacy, digital assets, Web3 infrastructure, and emerging blockchain technologies.

Requirements

Open Innovation - Midnight Blockchain

Build any innovative full-stack application that leverages the Midnight ecosystem to solve a real-world problem or introduce a new blockchain-powered use case.

The problem statement is open-ended — participants are encouraged to identify a meaningful problem and build their own solution.

Eligibility & Requirements

To be eligible for the Midnight Blockchain Track, teams must:

  • Build a full-stack application on the Midnight ecosystem.
  • Use Midnight technology meaningfully within the project.
  • Deploy the project's smart contract on Midnight Preview or PreProd.
  • Complete the project within the hackathon timeline.
  • Provide a working demonstration of the application.
  • Include clear documentation and setup instructions.

Projects that do not demonstrate a functional Midnight integration may not qualify for the track
